a hike around a puddle

Thursdays are hiking days in our homeschool.  We found some water, and other stuff.

Here are some great pictures that #1 took.

Yep - it's a kinda big snake!  I think he was eating something, like a poodle.  Kidding, just kidding.

This is similar to what our backyard looks like these days.   On the news a puppy had to be rescued from the depths of a backyard crack, I AM NOT kidding. 

Someone has dumped their domestic ducks at the "lake"; their stock ponds must have dried up.  Sad.

We were excited to find Roseate Spoonbills at the park.  We have not seen these birds this far inland. 

Gotta go, Man has dinner up and off the grill.
